A guessing game for a woodland baby shower, ready to print: one 8 × 10 inch sign reading “How many kisses are in the jar” beneath a bear, a fawn, a fox and a raccoon sitting on a branch, and a page of small guess cards for the answers. Guests count, estimate, commit a number to paper and sign their name — the closest guess wins whatever you decide to offer.
What you get
- The 8 × 10 inch display sign, supplied as both a JPG and a PDF
- 5 × 3.5 inch guess cards as a PDF, four to an 8.5 × 11 inch page
- Each card carries a guess line and a name line, printed and ready to fill in
- A finished design: no editor, no text to change, no way to add the mum-to-be’s name
- Not included: the jar, the sweets inside it, a frame, or a prize
Running it
Fill a clear jar, count what went in and write the number down somewhere you will not lose it. Print the sign at 8 × 10 and stand it beside the jar; print the card sheet once, cut four ways, and print more sheets for a bigger guest list — twenty guests is five sheets. Keep a pen tied to the jar, because the game only works if people can write.
Both the sign and the cards print on matte card at home, or at a copy shop if you would rather not cut. The sign is a standard 8 × 10, so an off-the-shelf frame takes it without trimming.
Not editable
A fixed printable rather than a template: the wording, the animals and both sizes are locked, so nothing can be personalised to your shower. Two cards per guest is a fair way to run a tie-break, since the same file prints again as often as you need. Personal use only; not for resale.
Do the small cards and the big sign say the same thing?
Yes, both carry the same woodland artwork and the same question. The sign asks it once for the table; the cards are for each guest’s guess and name.
How many guess cards do I get?
Four on every printed 8.5 × 11 page, since the cards are 5 × 3.5. The PDF prints as often as you like, so the count is really your paper supply.
Can I add the mum-to-be’s name to the sign?
You cannot — there is no editable layer. If you want a named version, run the game alongside a woodland sign that can be personalised.
What goes in the jar?
Anything small and countable that suits a shower table. We do not name a brand, and the file does not either, so the sign works whatever you fill it with.
Is it a baby shower only game?
The forest animals work just as well for a first birthday, or a woodland welcome party. Only the question on the sign stays the same.
