How the game runs

Every guest starts with a peg, a token or a nappy pin. Say the word "baby" out loud and the person who catches you takes it; whoever is holding the most by the end of the shower wins. The sign announces the game so you are not explaining it at the door forty times, and it is the piece guests photograph along with the nappy messages and the cake. Somewhere near the drinks is a good spot — that is where people talk most.

Printing the 8 × 10 in file

The sign prints one to a sheet, so set the PDF to 100% on Letter or A4 card and trim the border, or hand the JPEG to a print shop and ask for 8 × 10 in matte. Matte beats gloss here: a framed sign on a table catches the light, and a dark design reads better without a glare patch over it. If you do frame it, a ready-made 8 × 10 frame means no trimming.

How many pegs will I need?

One per guest plus a few spares — the pegs are not included with the sign, so count your guest list before the shower.

Does the sign explain the rules?

It names the game so guests know it is running. The rules you play by stay yours, which is handy if your crowd wants forfeits rather than pegs.
