How guests use it

Send the card inside the invitation envelope. The card asks each guest to bring a book for the baby's first shelf instead of a greeting card, and gives them a line to write their name in so you know who chose what — which is also the thank-you list, done. Because it is a printed insert rather than an email, it survives on the fridge until the shower.

Printing 3.5 × 5 in inserts

Print the PDF on Letter card (21.6 × 27.9 cm) at actual size and cut the four cards apart; on A4 the same four still fit, with a wider margin. For a stiffer insert that will not crumple in an envelope, use 250 gsm card and score the fold line if your printer jams on heavy stock.

Does it say how many books to bring?

The card is a fixed design and asks for a book rather than a card; the number of books is your call. Guests who want to bring more than one usually do.

Can I add the baby's name?

Not to this file — it comes exactly as shown. If you want a card with your own wording, the invitation and thank-you card in this range are editable Corjl templates in the same blue artwork.

What size envelope takes a 3.5 × 5 in insert?

The card is smaller than a 5 × 7 in invitation, so it can go in the same envelope as the invitation rather than needing its own. An RSVP-sized envelope also fits it.
