Not editable — ready-made files
A 5 × 3.5 in insert card, 12.7 by 8.9 cm, asking each guest to bring a book for the baby instead of a card. Four cards share one 8.5 × 11 in letter sheet, so the inserts tuck straight into the invitation envelopes.
Inside the insert download
- The 5 × 3.5 in book request card as a JPEG, and again as a PDF
- The 8.5 × 11 in letter page fits four cards
- All of it zipped into one folder
How the insert is used
Slip one card into each invitation envelope so guests read the book request when the invitation arrives. Ten invitations need ten cards, which is three letter sheets; twenty invitations need five. The small 12.7 by 8.9 cm cut fits envelopes that already hold a 5 × 7 in invitation.
Printing advice
Run it on white card stock at home, or email the PDF to a print shop, then cut along the trim into four equal cards. Card stock matters here because a flimsy insert curls inside the envelope.
What is excluded here
- Printed cards and envelopes are not part of it — the listing covers the files
- No books: guests supply those on the day
Questions
What does the card ask guests to bring?
A book for the baby in place of a greeting card, building the nursery shelf before the birth.
How many inserts print from one sheet?
Four. The PDF lays four 5 × 3.5 in cards on each letter page, so divide the guest count by four and round up.
Will it fit the invitation envelope?
It is made for exactly that: at 5 × 3.5 in it sits beside a 5 × 7 in invitation in a standard invitation envelope.
